Hello everyone and welcome to Peony!
Peony Coffee was founded out of a deep passion for coffee and a desire to promote the field of quality coffee in Israel. Our roasting house is nestled in the pastoral landscape of the Galilee in Beit Jan, the only place in the country where you can find the rare wood peony flower - the peony, from which we also got our name.
The rural environment and the surrounding silence create the perfect conditions to give coffee a place of honor and focus on the quality of the coffee and roasting. The altitude conditions (over 1,000 meters) of the roasting house contribute to a unique flavor that can be tasted from the first sip.
We use the most advanced technology in the world and apply scientific methods to the roasting process and quality control at high standards that can only be found in leading roasteries in the world.
As a family-run roastery, we pay close attention to every detail that contributes to the quality of the coffee and invest our great passion in striving to contribute to the enjoyment of everyone who drinks our special coffee.

Contrary to our belief, we roast the coffee around the medium .
Since we are subject to a market that has been accustomed for many years to drinking dark coffee - even with roast defects - we are roasting medium to try to win both of these awards. The taste is drinker-friendly, free of defects, delicious and somewhat represents the fruitiness and acidity of the light roast.
What is our philosophy?

The coffee world is riddled with all kinds of opinions and covert aggressive marketing attempts that do not match the high standards we believe in.
